Family Pictures at the Beach

This August the whole family was here so my Mom decided to have some professional pictures taken. They came out really cute even though the wind was blowing our hair everywhere!

The Nursery

Here are some pictures of the baby's room.  Now we just need furniture and a baby!  Clint is working on building the crib now.  I will post pictures as soon as he lets me take some!

The Zoo

My friend Amanda and I decided to take the kids to the zoo today since I have had Gabriel for this past weekend.  It was so much fun!  It was so cute to watch Gabriel as he looked at all of the animals.  He loved watching the elephant take a bath and playing in the fountain.  Every time he saw an animal he would look back at us and point to make sure we saw it too.  He's so cute!  It was such a fun day!

It's a boy!

Clint and I found out on Wednesday that we are having a boy.  Clint was very excited, but it took me a little bit to warm up to the idea.  I was really hoping for a girl, but I'm just so happy that we have a healthy baby.  And I know it will be great to have a little boy too!  Especially if he's like Clint!

Having the ultrasound done was really amazing.  We could see him moving around.  She even got a picture of him as he was about to put his hand in his mouth.  She also measured all different things like the size of his head and the length of his body.  She even checked things that I had never heard of.  She said she had to count how many veins were in the umbilical cord.  Apparently 3 is the magic number.  Anything less than that and the baby could be perfectly healthy but they could also potentially have serious problems.  Our baby has 3, thank God!  She also saw a tiny bit of amniotic fluid in the stomach which she said means that he knows how to swallow.  Also a very good sign.

I feel so blessed that we have a healthy baby.  When you think about the number of things that could go wrong, it's extremely overwhelming.  Clint and I are so thankful that so far, our baby is healthy and developing normally!

Weekend Project

This weekend we decided to start making some changes in our yard to make it a little more inviting.  We started with this ugly white wall which is the side of our neighbor's garage.  We bought some pieces of lattice and Clint made the edging and dividers.  Then we bought 2 tangerine beauty cross vines to go on either side of the vine my mom gave us for our anniversary.  Clint dug up a small patch of grass to make a nice little garden to plant them in.  It already looks so much better but I can't wait until the flowers start blooming!

The Best Husband in the World

Yesterday Clint and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary.  I can't believe how fast it went by.  Every day I am so thankful to have him in my life.  I couldn't ask for a more loving, caring husband.  He came home with a giant bouquet of my favorite flowers, gerber daisies.  Then we went to d. carlo, the restaurant where we had our rehearsal dinner.  It was perfect.  A nice quiet night with a man that I can't believe really exists.  I can't believe that I am the one that gets to have him.  Not only on our anniversary, but every day he does something to show how much he loves me.  Some nights he'll walk in the door at 5:30 after a long day at work and start cooking dinner because he sees that I have fallen asleep on the couch.  When I cook he always helps with the dishes.  He is always willing to get me anything I need and help in any way he can.  He is so wonderful and I know he is going to be an amazing dad too!  I love you so much honey bunch!
